Terms of Use

These terms govern use of Sakinah. By using the app, you agree to these terms and Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement where it applies.

The service

Sakinah calculates prayer windows and attempts to place protected time in calendars you connect. Prayer times and availability can be affected by location, preferences, timezone changes, provider outages, permissions, and information you supply. You remain responsible for checking prayer times and your calendar.

Sakinah is a planning aid. It does not provide religious, legal, medical, or financial advice and does not guarantee that a proposed time is appropriate in every circumstance.

Your account and calendars

You may connect only accounts and calendars you are authorised to use. Sakinah creates, updates, and deletes only events it can identify as Sakinah-managed. You can disconnect providers and choose whether to retain or remove those events.

Subscriptions

Paid access is offered as an auto-renewable subscription through Apple In-App Purchase. The app shows the current price, billing period, trial eligibility, and renewal terms before purchase. Trials convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends. Restore Purchases is available in the app.

Deleting a Sakinah account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Billing changes and refund requests are handled through Apple.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service, probe or bypass security, automate abusive traffic, reverse engineer it except where law permits, infringe another person’s rights, or use it unlawfully.

Availability and liability

Calendar, authentication, notification, and store providers are outside Sakinah’s control. Features may change, be suspended, or be discontinued. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sakinah is provided “as is” and is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from missed events, incorrect configuration, provider outages, or reliance on a suggested schedule.

Termination and contact

You may stop using Sakinah and delete your account in the app at any time. Questions about these terms can be sent to abdiybedel@gmail.com.
